Pesto Herbed Angel Hair and Peas

Ingredients

  • 1 box Dreamfields Angel Hair Pasta

  • 1 8 oz jar basil pesto

  • 2 cups frozen sweet green peas thawed, divided

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 cups spinach tightly packed, torn

  • crushed red pepper flakes

  • parsley chopped


Directions

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup cooking liquid before draining Place pasta in large serving bowl.

  2. Meanwhile, place pesto, 1 cup of the peas, the parsley and garlic in bowl of food processor; process until smooth.

  3. Toss pesto mixture with pasta. Add cooking liquid, a ladle at a time, until mixture is a creamy consistency. Add spinach and remaining 1 cup of peas. Toss to combine. Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes and additional chopped parsley, if desired.
