Your carb count gets me confused,I am on 168 carbs per day Your box of Linguine for example states,
Total Carbs 41
Fiber -5
protected carbs -31
digestible carbs 5
When Calculating my carbs, What do I deduct from my 168 allowance?
Is it 5 carbs, or 41 carbs ?
Thanks for asking, Richard. You would count the 5g of digestible carbs when calculating your carbohydrate intake.
Of the 41g carbohydrate in each serving of Dreamfields pasta (1 serving is about 5 oz cooked or 2 oz dry), all but 5g are protected from being absorbed. In other words, 5g are digested, while 36g are not.

Thanks again for the question!
I NEEDED TO KNOW THAT TOO, AS I HAVE TO KEEP TRACT OF MY CARB INTAKE PER DAY, PER WEEK, PER MONTH.
THANKS FOR ANSWERING
RUTH M.
I love Dreamfields. As you say, these 5 grs of digestable carbs do not impact my blood sugar levels.
I am on a 135 carb per day. I am controlling my diabetes strickly through diet and exercise. No meds. My A1C is 5.5 and I am delighted that now I can have pasta.
But, can you tell me if there is a way to count digestable carbs with other foods?
Thanks
Dee
